Paxi

About

Paxi (or Paxoi) – cultural village of Europe for the year 2004 – is an Ionian island near Corfu, and  is the best island for a quiet occasion. Wonderful sea shores, submerged caves, little straights and green slopes invite you in the most magnificent manner. As indicated by the legend, the island would be the southernmost tip of Corfu, if the God of the Sea, Poseidon, had not severed it with his trident when he really wanted a divine being meriting spot to experience his affection with the Nereid Amphitrite.
